Our ancestry is a vast web spanning thousands of years. Fragments of ancestral stories still live within the memory of our cells. We are each filled with these living stories from both known and unknown places.
It’s miraculous that our ancestors survived for so long throughout the history of the world, and that each of us stands here today, an embodiment of all that came before us, the sharpest point of an upside-down triangle.

Ancestral GOLD Online Creative & Reflective Writing Workshop
What might you learn or create?
On October 31st, I will be hosting Ancestral GOLD, a 2.5-hour, online creative and reflective writing workshop (+ supplementary materials) to help you discover the GOLD from your own ancestral stories to generate new writing and to weave it into the tapestry of your writing projects.
Ancestral GOLD is both for self-discovery and creativity. The stories that emerge through your writing reveal what is meaningful, current (i.e., alive) within your lived experience.
From a place of curiosity, you’ll be invited to explore your lineage creatively, to awaken the stories that exist within you and your line. Some stories might be subliminal, mere traces of a past you were not even here to experience. And some, so tangible, you can taste the pine in the summer air in the woods you spent time in as a child.
This workshop is an opportunity to look at who you are more expansively and be in awe of what you are made of.
What is the GOLD?
The GOLD is the ‘information’ that is contained within your particular family constellation (living and non-living) that holds deep insights about who you are. GOLD can be in both the light and dark aspects of your ancestry. Gold is in the mystery of who, what and where you come from.
Ancestral GOLD brings MAGIC, MYSTERY, RITUAL, DEPTH & CREATIVITY.
MAGIC - is in the gathering and co-created space as well as what shows up on your page. MYSTERY - means that we don’t know what stories will emerge when we begin. The mystery is revealed as we write and we trust the relevancy. RITUAL - is in the gathering on Samhain, the workshop itself and the invitations we create within it. DEPTH - is found through the mystery, and the reflective prompts that guide you to dig deeply for the gold in your lineage. CREATIVITY - is in the writing of poetry, of stories and being in an intentional space for creations to bloom.
We’ll work with ancestry from a very expansive lens, both micro and macro. Of earthly, tangible, living connections that include land/nature/primal origins, as well as spiritual/energetic/ connections (you will be encouraged to work with your own belief systems, i.e. spiritual/imaginal).
In addition to the live workshop on October 31st, you’ll also receive supplementary materials to support you in retrieving the treasures of insights and stories from your lineage.
