Dear Jane thank you for this article! I notice it's still a bit of a taboo to not be in top shape during our periods especially during the festive season.. Though it's only very real to honour our cycles no matter where we're at. Your writing helps with this ❣️ much love to you

Yes, there is this expectation - from society, family, employer, ourselves, etc, to keep on going - an over-emphasis on productivity - like we're meant to do, do, do and produce, produce, live in a linear way, and it's just not possible or natural. Being in Tip-top-shiny-shape during our periods, alongside the intensity that can come with Christmas - again, not always possible, and nor should it be. I agree, the real task it to try to honour our cycles no matter where we're at, even in incremental and small ways. So glad this article helped Noortje! Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
