HYDRATE - FREE Online Creative Writing Workshop for Women Who Write
To Re-Hydrate Your Writing & Creative Life
Hi folks,
In a previous article, When Psyche & Soul are Drying Out - 7 Ways to Re-Hydrate, I spoke to the slow drying out of psyche and soul - disconnection from an inner aliveness and wildness that fuels our creativity. The stuff that hydrates our cells and blossoms our being. Click here to find 7 Ways to Re-hydrate when your Soul-Self is Drying Out.
Our creative life can also dry out alongside psyche and soul - but there are ways to re-hydrate that too.
I’ll be helping you do that in my new monthly creative writing workshop online, HYDRATE - Inspiration to Re-Hydrate your Writing Life. The first workshop is coming up on Tuesday, November 21st.
We begin each workshop with a warm welcome, we’ll get present then dive right in. I’ll share different prompts each month to inspire and re-hydrate. We’ll have some solid chunks of writing time together in silence (it’s amazing what can be created in short writing stints), with time to share and connect – (you do not have to share your writing – and - depending on group size, there may not be time for everyone to share during each workshop).
Constructive or critical feedback will not be given in these classes, as the emphasis is on FREEDOM, IMAGINATION, EXPLORATION, EXPANSION & FUN. We allow for the messiness in which we can discover gems of ideas for future expansion.
Themes may be light, airy and fun, possibly even a bit silly or eccentric – they may be deep, heart-opening or bring up emotions for you (which I encourage you to channel into your writing), they may be acutely detailed or wide open – workshops may occasionally begin with embodied movement or music.
Come with an open-mind and heart, a pen and a journal (or piece of paper).
WHO ARE HYDRATE WORKSHOPS FOR?
Maybe you’re feeling a bit stuck or your writing has gone stale, perhaps you’ve been doing academic, scientific writing or journalism and you need to free-up your thinking or get out your ‘head’ or the same-same writing style. Maybe you have a day-job and feel a pull to begin expressing yourself through writing. Or perhaps you simply would like a regular writing space to expand and explore your imagination, and connect with like-minded people.
We all need regular hydration to plump up our words and imaginations which can become dried out for many reasons.
Whether you’re a poet, fiction writer, essayist, children’s picture book writer, self-help columnist, writer of morning pages in your journal, or have not written for years and want to begin again – you are welcome.
HYDRATE is for women who write (or want to) in any genre who want:
to discover themselves through writing
inspiration and connection
to rehydrate the words they write
to try different writing styles
to get out a writing rut
to meet fellow writers and creatives
If you like to join this first workshop for free to experience it, click the button below to register for this event, held online over zoom, from 7-8.30pm UK time on November 21st.
Feel welcome to comment with any questions about this workshop - and I hope to see some of you there.
